La Cardiología nuclear en Cuba

Resumen

En este trabajo se presenta un breve resumen de la historia de la Cardiología Nuclear en Cuba; se refieren las principales causas de mortalidad en la actualidad y el valor e indicaciones de los estudios nucleares dentro de las técnicas de imagen que se emplean actualmente en cardiología, tanto lo referente al SPECT gatillado como al PET y a la imagen híbrida que combina información funcional y anatómica. Se refiere también cómo se inserta el país en la Cardiología Nuclear actual, cuál ha sido el desarrollo de la subespecialidad en los últimos años y cuáles son las perspectivas futuras, así como algunas recomendaciones de interés.
